Firm Foundation

It's been a busy few days and we are grateful that we were able to keep our minds occupied this past weekend. Friday night we had a worship service; it was such a powerful night. We're so thankful for everyone who came out and were a part of it. To hear the singing and praises to our God was incredible. We will never forget that special night.

Saturday Jesse and I went on a date in the afternoon.  We did some fishing, hiking and relaxing. It was much needed. We came home to a decked out deck and a bunch of beautiful people. We now have an oasis to hang out on and just enjoy this spring weather. Thanks so much friends/family for doing what you did. From the speakers, to the sign, to flowers and furniture it's such a special spot to be.
As for Monday we had an appointment with a liver surgeon who we really liked. He was very helpful in explaining why he couldn't do surgery at the moment. Jesse has quite a few spots in different parts of his liver and it would be too complicated to do surgery since the spots aren't all in the same place. After that appointment we met with an oncologist. He explained about chemo and that route. Jesse and I shared with him that we would like to have surgery on the colon before considering chemo.  He was open to that idea and talking to the colon surgeon about that. We also asked to have another CT scan done and MRI which he agreed to. So we will wait for those tests to be done and that information will give the colon DR more info about surgery ect.
Monday was exhausting and felt super weak when we got home. It was hard to swallow what a journey this is going to be and how long we could be on it.  We're constantly reminding ourselves that God goes before us and prepares away.  These two songs have been encouraging to our hearts this week are below.  I'll try to keep updates as much as possible in this changing journey. Thanks for following along with us.
Christ is my firm foundation
The rock on which I stand
When everything around me is shaken
I've never been more glad
That I put my faith in Jesus
'Cause He's never let me down
He's faithful through generations
So why would He fail now?
He won't
